The trend for most power generation applications in this country has been to reduce dependence on foreign oil and entertain designs that focus on renewable resources such as wind, solar, and ethanol. The solar and wind generation technology is rapidly becoming more efficient and lower in cost. Although our power generators are operating on heavy fuel, the goal of HFE International is to introduce hybrid power generation in the man portable generator and ultimately change the engine’s role from main power to backup power.
